Update: Fork Fire expanding, air crews now on scene
WEBThe first reports of the fire near East Fork Road, which leads from Highway 39 on the Azusa side to Glendora Mountain Road, came in at 3:21 p.m. Friday. It is now burning toward the Sheep Mountain Wilderness. The east fork of the San Gabriel River, popular recreation area in the summertime, is closed for the weekend due to the fire, Dierkes said.

With five Mondays in the month, the series will feature a new artist each week bringing a new genre of sound to Claremonters. On August 2, Cold Duck will perform Top 40 hits from the 70s. The following week, August 9, Upstream will play some Reggae tunes.
