CVS Health Corp. said Monday it will slash another 2,900 jobs nationwide, most of them corporate jobs, with some of the layoffs likely to take a toll on the Hartford-based headquarters of health

CVS Health, parent company of Hartford health insurer Aetna, told employees Monday it will cut 1% of its workforce, or about 2,900 employees.  The job cuts will mostly impact corporate jobs, according to the Wall Street Journal,

CVS Health said it is cutting about 2,900 employees as part of a goal to reduce costs by $2 billion. The job cuts represents about 1% of the health care company’s workforce, a CVS spokesperson told CBS MoneyWatch via email.
