Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin has left Monday’s tilt against Utah Hockey Club after a knee-on-knee collision. In the third period, Ovechkin was skating when he collided with Jack McBain in an apparent knee-on-knee collision. He needed help getting up, and ultimately went down the tunnel and did not return.

The Washington Capitals have been witnessing greatness from their captain as Alex Ovechkin is defying the odds and age for one of the hottest starts to his NHL career. Despite being 39 years old, the Capitals captain recently took over the NHL’s goal lead with 15 goals.
