Violence against healthcare workers is on the rise as seen by an attack at a Pennsylvania hospital. A gunman took hostages before exchanges of gunfire that killed a police officer and wounded five other people at a York County,

The shooter has been identified as Diogenes Archangel Ortiz. He allegedly entered the hospital with a handgun and zip ties.

Multiple law enforcement officers and a nurse were shot after a shooter opened fire at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York County on Saturday, according to ABC News. The conditions of those injured are not clear at this time.
