Freshman Jaloni Cambridge hit a layup, followed by a free throw after being fouled on the play, to break a 63-63 tie and give the Buckeyes the victory.

Due to a late run from Ohio State, finishing 6-for-8 from the field, the Buckeyes (3-0, 0-0 Big Ten) won a down-to-the-wire matchup against the Belmont Bruins (2-2, 0-0 Missouri Valley), 67-63. The Buckeyes did not look like the Buckeyes right off the bat.

For the first time in the young 2024-25 Ohio State women’s basketball season, the Buckeyes are on the road. The Scarlet and Gray head to Nashville, Tennessee to face the Belmont Bruins for the second time in two seasons.
