Liberated Brands filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy over the weekend and is looking to shutter its U.S. retail stores where it sold brands like Quiksilver, Billabong and Volcom.

Altogether over 100 stores for the brands, which sell apparel for skaters, surfers and snowboarders, will close their doors.

Some iconic surf shops are permanently closing more than 100 stores in the US due to their operator, Liberated Brands, filing for bankruptcy. KTLA’s David Lazarus reported that Liberated Brands blames the bankruptcy on fast-fashion competition and an “uncertain economy.
