Cambridge Dictionary has announced its 2024 word of the year is "manifest," a formal 600-year-old word that's been given new life as Olympians, entertainers and social media influencers increasingly claim they channel their wishes into realities.

Cambridge Dictionary has put it out to the universe, naming “manifest” as its word of the year for 2024.

The Cambridge Dictionary's Word of the Year has been revealed as "manifest", after a global wellness trend endorsed by celebrities including singer Dua Lipa.The traditional definition included the adjective "easily noticed or obvious" and the noun "to show something clearly through signs or actions".
