Original Sin has been a smashing success, setting a viewership record and paving the way for more prequels of the original series. With the Trinity Killer in development, fans have a lot to look forward to.

Detective Maria LaGuerta is another character who's coming back from the original Dexter series, but in a younger form. In the original show she's already captain of the homicide department, but in Original Sin, she's still a detective who hasn't worked her way up the ranks yet.

The second episode of Dexter: Original Sin aired on Paramount+ with Showtime on December 20. It fully introduced Dexter Morgan to the world of Miami Metro Homicide, and it was a steep learning curve for the forensic intern and budding serial killer.
