Thousands of Verizon customers reported widespread outages affecting access to phone calls, text messages and cellular data Monday morning. More than 100,000 customers nationwide were affected by the outage at its peak,

As of 12:00 p.m. ET, DownDetector (a site that shares the same parent company as Mashable) shows that there have been over 100,000 reports of Verizon outages. Fifty-one percent say that the issue involves their mobile phone, 35 percent say they're not getting any signals, and 14 percent say they're experiencing a total blackout.

Verizon services are beginning to be restored after reportedly down across the country on Monday, Sept. 30, according to the wireless carrier. On its official X account, Verizon said it was working around the clock to fix the issue.
