Ticket sales helped convince the airline to add a second Florida destination from Erie, said Jake Rouch, CEO of the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. The Chamber is coordinating the Fly Erie Fund, a public-private partnership raising money to provide incentives to airlines to operate from Erie.

Low-cost airline Breeze Airways will launch four new Florida routes this winter. The airline will soon offer service to Orlando from Mississippi, New York, and Utah, and to Tampa from Pennsylvania, Breeze shared with Travel + Leisure. The new routes will take off in December, January, and February.

Breeze Airways is bolstering its service in Florida this winter. The Utah-based low-cost carrier, which commenced service in 2021, unveiled its latest expansion Tuesday, with four new routes to the Sunshine State.

Breeze will operate the new Florida routes with Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The airline expects to have 32 A220-300 aircraft in its fleet by the end of 2024 and 90 by the end 2028. It will operate only A220-300s on scheduled service flights by next year.

Starting on January 8, passengers will be able to catch a nonstop flight from Erie to Tampa, Florida. It’s a seasonal service offered by Breeze Airways that will be in operation on Wednesdays and Saturdays until May.
