A North Texas school district is closing its campuses due to a surge in the seasonal flu. Godley ISD shut down Wednesday and plans to reopen next week. The suburban Fort Worth district reported about 650 students — nearly one-fourth of its enrollment — were absent Tuesday with more students going home sick throughout the day.
