White is set to become the sixth man executed in the U.S. in an 11-day period and the fifth inmate put to death in Texas so far this year.

In what one anti-death penalty group called "extraordinary," six men have been executed in the U.S. since Sept. 20. Two more executions are set for Oct. 17.

Garcia Glenn White apologized for the pain he had caused and said he hoped his victims' families could now find peace in his final words before his execution.
