Ja Morant scored 25 points before leaving with what appeared to be a minor right shoulder injury during the Memphis Grizzlies' 132-124 win over the slumping New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. Morant was knocked from the game when he was flattened by Pelicans center Daniel Theis' hard but legal screen in the third quarter.

Memphis superstar Ja Morant seemed poised for a remarkable game, but the 25-year-old star went down in the third quarter with an apparent shoulder injury. Morant stayed down on the floor before being helped up and whisked to the locker room.

If Morant can’t play on Sunday, the Grizzlies should continue to lean on Jaren Jackson Jr. The 7th-year forward finished with 33 points on Friday and closed the game out after Morant left. He also added four steals and three blocks, showcasing why he has won a Defensive Player of the Year award.
