PARIS (Reuters) -Famed fashion designer Hedi Slimane has left LVMH's Celine brand, the company said on Wednesday, the latest in a series of designer departures as the industry grapples with a downturn in sales.

In a statement from LVMH, it was revealed that French photographer and designer Hedi Slimane will be leaving the brand after seven years.

The news comes days after the designer dropped a surprise digital show during Paris Fashion Week, his last collection for the house.
