Newly inaugurated Kelly Ayotte made her pitch for businesses to flee Massachusetts and set up shop in New Hampshire.

The new governor also announced a state-level plan modeled after President-elect Donald Trump’s DOGE initiative.

Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte has been sworn in as the 83rd governor of New Hampshire. Ayotte succeeds fellow Republican Chris Sununu, who decided against seeking a fifth two-year term.

Still, Ayotte will bring her own perspective and leadership style to the job. The issues that defined her candidacy are no longer listed on her campaign website, but allies and opponents alike are waiting to see whether Ayotte sticks to several key policy positions she took on the campaign trail.
