High school football games kicked off throughout the state of Mississippi Sep. 26-28 and there was plenty of great action taking place. The new No. 1 team in the Magnolia State Starkville then followed by Tupelo followed by West Jones and Brandon.

The month of October is set to kick off for Mississippi high school football this week, and several ranked teams will face off in what should be an exciting slate of games in the Magnolia State. This week features four ranked matchups Friday evening and a handful of other tough tests for top-25 teams in the Mississippi On3 Massey Ratings.
