A slight chance of showers is forecast for Memorial Day in Denver, with the odds of rain and thunder increasing in the afternoon.

There’s a 30% chance of showers moving in after 11 p.m. Sunday night and a 40% chance of showers Monday morning before 11 a.m. Otherwise, Memorial Day will be partly sunny with a high around 71 degrees. We could see the warmest temperatures of the year so far later in the week. Wednesday is expected to reach 92 degrees.

The Memorial Day weekend kicked off with a multi-day thunderstorm and heavy rainfall system hitting the south-central part of the country, forecasters said.
