A sequel for Spaceballs, starring OG cast members Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, and Bill Pullman, has been confirmed 40 years after the original film.
Bill Pullman and Rick Moranis are set to reprise their respective roles as Lone Starr and Dark Helmet in the new movie. Also aboard in an undisclosed role is Pullman’s son, rising star Lewis Pullman. The original film’s director and star, Mel Brooks, will reprise his role as Yogurt.
Moranis famously stepped away from acting following the death of his wife Ann Belsky, died of breast cancer in 1991, to raise their two children, daughter Rachel and son Mitchell. His last live-action role was in 1997's Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.
