Iran has commissioned its first aircraft carrier, the Shahid Bagheri (C110-4), which was developed by converting the commercial container ship Perarin as part of a program to repurpose large commercial vessels for military use.

On February 06, 2025, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) accepted the delivery of the new homegrown drone and helicopter carrier ship Shahid Bahman Bagheri during a ceremony in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

Iran has unveiled its first drone-carrier warship, a vessel the country claims can operate far from its shores, The Associated Press reported on Thursday, citing Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
