A man and a woman were hospitalized Sunday morning after a house exploded near Weddington, North Carolina. Emergency officials in Union County say they were called to the home around 9 a.m. after numerous reports of a large explosion.

A house explosion in Union County injured two people and destroyed the structure, with investigations ongoing to determine the cause.

WEDDINGTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man and a woman are hurt after a home exploded in Union County. Emergency officials were called to the scene Sunday morning and found a portion of the home had significant damage, according to ABC affiliate WSOC.
