Jared Allen, whose NFL path started with the Kansas City Chiefs, has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A pass rushing specialist, Allen went on to play six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and finish his career with the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers.

The fifth time’s a charm for former Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. After missing out on the gold jacket in each of his previous years of eligibility, Allen’s wait finally ended on Thursday night when he was officially elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
