Indian news agency ANI has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging copyright infringement. ANI claims OpenAI used its content without permission to train its AI chatbot, ChatGPT, and even attributed fabricated stories to the agency.

Indian news agency ANI has sued OpenAI in a New Delhi court, accusing the ChatGPT creator of using its published content without permission to help train the artificial intelligence chatbot to provide information to users.

Filed in the Delhi High Court, the ANI's 287-page lawsuit accuses OpenAI for violating the rights in two ways.
