Two winter storm systems are on the way this week, both bringing the potential for accumulating snow and major travel problems.

San Diego is expected to get hit by its first major storm of the year this week following the single slowest start to the region's typical "rainy season" in recorded history. The biggest snowfall of the season is arriving in Michigan on Wednesday with several inches of snow expected for all of us.

Heavy snow will hit during the evening commute Wednesday, with more snow and frigid temperatures expected through the weekend.
