After firing head coach Dan Bylsma, the Seattle Kraken have promoted longtime general manager Ron Francis to president of hockey operations, with assistant Jason Botterill taking over day-to-day responsibilities.

Bylsma and Campbell coached the Kraken’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, to back-to-back Calder Cup finals appearances before the coaches were promoted. Bylsma replaced Dave Hakstol, a coach of the year finalist in Seattle in 2023.

The Seattle Kraken are firing Dan Bylsma and will begin a "full search" for a coach, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet and the NHL Network.
