Marc Marquez thwarted his younger brother Alex once again to land the Argentina MotoGP on Sunday and maintain his perfect start to the season.

Ducati's red-hot Marc Marquez won the Argentina Grand Prix on Sunday after trailing his brother Alex of Gresini Racing for much of the race as the pair finished in the top two yet again, while VR46 Racing's Franco Morbidelli was third.

The 1-2 finish of Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez, who last year were teammates at the Gresini Ducati team, at last weekend’s Thai MotoGP has been described as a “masterpiece”. For the brothers, the Thai Sprint was the first time they’d finished first and second in a race, and they were then able to repeat the feat on Sunday.

Marc Marquez won the Argentina Grand Prix on Sunday. The Spaniard with the official Ducati ended the race ahead of his younger brother Alex with team Gresini and Franco Morbidelli on a Ducati VR46. Pecco Bagnaia was fourth on the other official Ducati.

The Marquez brothers end up 1-2 in the final Practice session of the weekend ahead of Qualifying. Alex Marquez ends Saturday morning as the fastest rider at the Argentinian Grand Prix. The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider is still searching for his first victory, which could come this weekend.
