Just to flag this one, though you may have noticed it already: Arduino support for MicroPython – an optimised version of the language that runs on MCUs – is now available as a downloadable editor.

Arduino Lab for MicroPython is written from scratch. Its inception is a project by Murilo Polese, credited in our blog post, who coded this whole editor from the ground up as part of the Arduino team.

The Arduino Lab for MicroPython is touted as being a lightweight editor for MicroPython that supports connecting boards, code uploads, and file transfers. It also provides an interactive REPL shell.
