A sly reference in a Marvel Star Wars comic has officially made Indiana Jones part of the franchise's canon, paying homage to Harrison Ford’s two most iconic and beloved roles. Interestingly, the Indy reference is included in a story set in an era of the Star Wars timeline well before Han Solo's lifetime.

“S**t happens,” said Ford. “I was really the one who felt there was another story to tell. When [Indy] had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his ass and stick him out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened.”

The long-awaited film sees Ford play the President of the United States, who finds himself caught in the middle of a deadly international incident, with Anthony Mackie - having played Falcon in previous movies - now taking on the responsibility of Captain America left by Steve Rogers.

Harrison Ford first played Indiana Jones back in 1981 and went on to play the beloved character in five movies over the course of four decades. His latest and final appearance in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny didn't seem to live up to the hype of the movies in the franchise that came before it.

For any actor, getting praise for portraying a well-known character is honorable, especially when it’s done with respect.

Ke Huy Quan told Entertainment Weekly that Harrison Ford calmed his nerves when he got scared on the set of Steven Spielberg's 1984 adventure "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," which marked Quan’s first acting job.
