Oklahoma (14-4, 1-4) defeated South Carolina (10-8, 0-5) 82-62 Saturday afternoon inside the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. The victory over the Gamecocks snapped a four-game losing streak that the Sooners have dealt with throughout SEC conference play. The win gave OU its first SEC victory in their first season in the conference.

Oklahoma’s first meeting with Dawn Stalely’s South Carolina game went about as poorly as anyone could imagine. The No. 2-ranked Gamecocks pummeled Jennie Baranczyk’s No. 13 Sooners. South Carolina jumped out on OU in the first quarter and stepped on the Sooners’ neck to win 101-60 on Sunday at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC.

The 17th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners host the South Carolina Gamecocks in this SEC matchup. Neither of these teams has performed well since the start of conference play, as they sit in a tie for the last spot in the standings.

After four-losses in a row to begin SEC play, the Sooners found a way to win on Saturday, beating South Carolina 82-62.

No. 2 South Carolina never let No. 13 Oklahoma get comfortable and with multiple players in double figures, the Gamecocks got SEC win No. 6 on Sunday.

The Aggies kept a slim lead through most of the game but were able to keep the Sooners at bay to sweep the season series against the SEC rookies.
