You can now watch a broad selection of PBS programming on Amazon Prime for free even if you don’t have a subscription. Though much of PBS ’ programming is already available to stream through through its own apps, now you can access it through Amazon Prime Video.

The channels are available whether or not customers are signed up for paid Prime Video subscriptions. Prime Video’s free programming options just got a major boost. The streamer already carries hundreds of free streaming channels which were formerly shunted to the now defunct Freevee service,

Amazon and PBS have moved forward on their partnership to offer free access to local member stations and some national programming feeds via Prime Video. Starting this week, streamers have access to their local PBS member station,

South Dakota Public Broadcasting announced Thursday that it is among more than 150 local PBS stations and the PBS KIDS Channel that launched ad-free on Amazon’s Prime Video.
