The Switch 2 will offer a new option for acquiring games, physical Game-Key Cards that will allow players to then download and own the game.

Following the Direct, a new form of Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge was revealed: the Game-Key Card. While the original Switch saw some physical releases launch without a cartridge in the box, they will now launch with almost-blank game cards that require the internet to use.
