You'd have to write some nasty parsing code to split up the values, then probably use a loop to process the data. SQL Server 2005 introduced a table data type, but you couldn't pass it to a procedure.
However, writing SQL code can be tedious, repetitive, and error-prone, especially when you need to perform similar tasks or calculations across different tables, views, or queries.
