President Donald Trump has again trained his ire on Harvard University, accusing the school Monday of “judge shopping” in its legal battle with the White House and threatening to cut off $3 billion in federal grant funding over its handling of anti-Israel protests.
Trump said he is now considering pulling a further $3 billion in federal grant money from Harvard and handing it to trade schools. His administration has already withheld $2.2 billion of federal grant money from Harvard.
Amid the feud between President Donald Trump and Harvard University, Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-RI, has questioned the president’s motives.
“Harvard brought these consequences upon themselves — they have promoted and allowed violent activity on campus,” DHS secretary Kristi Noem told Fox News shortly after announcing the ban on foreign students, who made up 27 per cent of enrolled students at the university last year.
The more the president tries to punish Harvard, the more people who have nothing to do with the university will feel the effects of the offensive.
