A student was arrested following a stabbing Thursday morning inside a school in Yonkers.Officials at Gorton High School said a freshman brought a knife onto the campus and used it during a fight with a senior.

The unnamed 17-year-old student who was attacked is in stable condition at a hospital, and a 14-year-old suspect is in custody. Police say the teen is facing charges including assault, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The school does have metal detectors that are used every day, but only on a portion of random kids.
