For the first time this season, the New York Rangers played a game without Filip Chytil. And though they defeated the Seattle Kraken 2-0 on Sunday, it was not easy to assess exactly how the third line fared without its injured center.

With Filip Chytil potentially set to miss some time with an upper-body injury, Jonny Brodzinski will likely see an increased role. Chytil did not practice with the rest of the New York Rangers on Saturday and will not travel with the team to start their four-game road trip as he’s being evaluated for an upper-body injury.

As concern grows about Chytil's future even without a long-term diagnosis, the Rangers might need to start thinking about filling his spot.
