"No Kings" protests against the Trump administration are taking place today in and around New York City as part of nationwide demonstrations. Fifth Avenue was closed to traffic from 42nd Street to 23rd Street in Manhattan as protesters marched from Bryant Park.

Large crowds across the country have gathered to protest the Trump administration — in major cities like Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York and Chicago and in smaller, rural communities as well.

Over 1,000 communities across the country have planned for a "No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance" to reject what event organizers are calling "corrupt, authoritarian politics in the United States."
