Big Ten football fans know that Paul Finebaum doesn’t often go to bat for the conference. Just recently, he was one of the numerous national media members questioning why Indiana made the College Football Playoff after its 27-17 first-round loss to Notre Dame.

This was the lowest number of wins Alabama had achieved in a season since 2007, the inaugural season under legendary head coach Nick Saban. On "The Paul Finebaum Show," SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum noted that DeBoer has significant work ahead to turn things around. "I think that next year he has to change the direction," Finebaum said.
