Robin Wright is not here for any takes about Jenny in “Forrest Gump” being an anti-feminist character — or Voldemort, for that matter. In a joint interview with Tom Hanks for the New York Times, she shot down criticism of the character she played in the Academy Award-winning 1994 film.

The actress, 58, did an interview with the New York Times Friday alongside her “Forrest Gump” co-star, Tom Hanks, to promote their new film “Here,” and Wright was asked if she thinks her character in the 1994 classic, Jenny Curran, was “kind of an anti-feminist role.”

Academy Award winner Hanks, now 68, plays the much-loved titular character - who ceaselessly finds himself in the most bizarre of life circumstances, including as an American football champion, a Vietnam War hero, a captain of a shrimp boat, a worldwide table tennis victor, a cross-country runner and a doting father-of-one.
