The Game Awards has become one of the industry's biggest events of the year, with the 2024 iteration set to take place on Thursday, December 12. The event will honor the best games released in 2024 while making huge world premiere announcements.

The Game Awards announced its nominees for Game of the Year 2024 in a livestream Monday. This year’s race for GOTY hasn’t had an obvious frontrunner thus far, making the announcement one of the bigger surprises in the show’s 10-year history.
