Roblox is taking its first steps to introduce voice chat by opening up a feature it’s calling “Spatial Voice” to select developers in an invitation-only beta, the company announced Thursday.

This comes as it decided to invest in Speechly, a start-up that focuses on AI voice moderation. Roblox is Acquiring Speechly, a Finnish AI Startup, for an Undisclosed Amount.

In the end, this is all about making these places more fun for the community and a safe space to chat while they’re playing in the Roblox universe. For that, we should be grateful for these updates.
