Cooper Kupp is going to be in a different uniform next season. The wide receiver revealed on Feb. 3 that the Los Angeles Rams put him on the trading block. The Rams reportedly aren't interested in reworking Kupp's contract to keep him around.
A longtime scout told Eric Williams of FOX Sports that Kupp would be a No. 1 or 2 receiver for just about every team in the league.
He announced the Rams’ plans on social media earlier this month and now three weeks later, Sean McVay has commented on it for the first time publicly. On the “Fitz and Whit” podcast with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth, he discussed the decision to move on from Kupp, which wasn’t an easy one.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp took to X to share that the Rams intend to trade him. After hearing that news, teams around the NFL had their ears perked up, hoping for a phone call. On Monday,
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that the Kupp trade market would likely start at a day three pick, so a fourth-rounder or less would make sense. The Rams are willing to eat some Kupp’s salary, including a $7.5 million bonus in March, to facilitate the deal.
