TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (MNA) – The governor of Abu Musa Island has announced that the government has decided to lift restrictions on visits to the island and to increase the number of flights as well.

TEHRAN – After many years, the Persian Gulf island of Abu Musa, southern Hormozgan province, has become a tourist destination, IRNA reported on Friday.

The drill focused primarily on Abu Musa Island, though the Guard also landed forces on Greater Tunb Island as well, Iran's state-run IRNA news agency reported.

The manoeuvres, held near Abu Musa island but also around Greater and Lesser Tunbs, come two weeks after the United States boosted its military presence in the Gulf.
