As part of a computer programming workshop put on by Code.org, Obama punched out a bit of JavaScript code securing his place as the “first president to write a computer program,” says Wired.

It was a very simple program—all it does is draw a square on a screen—but that's the point, says Hadi Partovi, co-founder Code.org, an organization that promotes computer science education.
