The polls closed at 7 p.m. across Colorado. Anyone in line by that time can still vote. County clerk offices will be tallying ballots until late tonight. El Paso County expects the first set of results to be released at about 8 p.m.

It’s finally election day, and those last minute votes are still trickling in for El Paso County. The County Clerk and Recorder, Steve Schleiker, anticipates we’ll start getting early results at around 8:00 p.

Initial election results report that Democratic candidate Amy Paschal will be succeeding Democrat Marc Snyder in Colorado's state House District 18 and Republican Chris Richardson will replace Rod Bockenfeld in District 56.

Republican and Democrat groups in El Paso County are making a last push to get young votes in. News5's Piper Vaughn spoke with both sides about how to get young voters to the ballots.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office announced today that Chief Medical Examiner and Coroner Dr. Leon Kelly will resign effective Dec. 31, 2024. Kelly has served the county for nearly 17 years, first as deputy chief medical examiner and later as coroner and chief medical examiner.

In El Paso County, Tuesday's general election was easy for dozens of unopposed candidates in races ranging from state senator to local judgeship to the Faben school board. It could be days before we get final vote counts in the U.

El Paso voters will be faced with a wide slate of candidates when they go to the polls in the coming weeks to elect the Sun City's next mayor.
