Crozer Health will receive $20 million in government funding to keep Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital open for at least 30 days under a plan approved Thursday by a bankruptcy judge in Texas.

A federal judge in Texas signed off on an agreement on Thursday that places the Crozer Health system in receivership for 30 days.

Under the agreement between the Pennsylvania attorney general and Prospect Medical Holdings, a temporary manager will take charge of Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland and Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park. A bankruptcy judge in Texas signed off on the deal.
