GA Group, an ‘asset disposition’ company, has emerged as the winning bidder of the beloved crafts retailer, which will wind down operations after 82 years. Fabric and craft retailer Joann Inc. is officially shutting down all of its stores following a turbulent bankruptcy process.

Fabric and crafts retailer Joan is closing all of its remaining stores after failing to find a buyer that would keep them open.

Joann fabric and craft store in Torrington is facing closure along with nine other locations across Connecticut. A store employee said 11 part-time workers will be impacted at the Torrington Plaza store.
