Currently, the best-selling option in Meta/Ray-Ban’s range are any that sport the traditional sunglasses lenses. But in doing so, you’re limiting where you can use these by 50% — and that 50% is a bit of a stretch, as you don’t want to be that weirdo who wears shades when it's cloudy out.

With so much going on in AI, investors seem to be looking past its Metaverse segment. That may seem odd, as the company once known as Facebook changed its name to Meta in 2021. With the company's Reality Labs segment continuing to lose billions of dollars every quarter, investors may have written off the effort.

The onboard Meta AI agent can now set a reminder to buy whatever the camera is pointed at, among other enhancements.

Meta is reportedly working on innovative technology that could customize audio content based on your mood and biometric readings as detailed in a recent patent filing.

Other updates coming to Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses include the ability to voice control Spotify and Amazon Music through the device as well as new integrations with apps like Audible and iHeartRadio.

Unfortunately, that still seems like a world away compared to where the Ray-Ban Meta glasses are currently. At Meta Connect, the company announced several new AI-enhanced features for the Ray-Ban glasses.

The limited edition transparent Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses may have been bad for my bank account, but I have no regrets.
