An Israel Air Force strike on a building in central Beirut on Sunday killed Hezbollah's media relations chief Mohammad Afif, two Lebanese security sources told Reuters on Sunday. Hezbollah later confirmed Afif's death. Army Radio reported that the strike targeted Hassan Nasrallah's home in Beirut's Dahiyeh neighborhood.

He looked after political programs and news on the group's Al-Manar TV and played a crucial role in managing media coverage throughout the conflict between Israel and Lebanon that took place in July 2006,

After killing almost all the top commanders of Triple H, IDF has now killed Hezbollah’s Media Chief. Israel's military which earlier declined to comment, issued a statement reporting it had "eliminated" Afif.
