Offensive operations by Russia’s army have increased across the front line, according to social media posts by Ukrainian officers, an analysis of information from the General Staff in Kyiv and soldiers speaking to CNN.

After pushing back Kyiv's forces in Kursk Oblast, Moscow has launched assaults on the Ukrainian regions of Kharkiv and Sumy.

Russia on Thursday released Ksenia Karelina, a dual Russian-U.S. citizen and Los Angeles spa worker, who had been serving a 12-year sentence for treason for donating just over $50 to a New York-based charity providing humanitarian support to Ukraine.

Ksenia Karelina, an American ballerina imprisoned by Russia for more than a year for treason, is on her way back home after she was suddenly freed overnight. According to her boyfriend, she was accused of making a donation of about $50 to a Ukrainian charity after Russia invaded the country in 2022.

The former ballerina was convicted on Russian treason charges last year after donating $51.80 to a humanitarian group aiding victims of the war in Ukraine
