Roblox is launching and open-sourcing Cube 3D, the first version of its foundational AI model for generating 3D objects. The model is trained on 3D objects. Eventually, it will be multimodal.

Roblox announced Monday that it’s launching the first iteration of its 3D model, dubbed “Cube,” to allow creators to create 3D objects using generative AI.

The model is currently in its “experimental” phase, and only available to developers. A slew of apps that are capable of removing objects from photos and filling in the gaps are already available.
