Yet again, another round of severe weather is set to threaten the central U.S. with damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes starting late Tuesday and continuing through Thursday.

The highest threat is expected Wednesday evening and overnight, with damaging wind gusts of over 70 mph, large hail, and tornadoes all possible. The southwestern part of the area faces a heightened risk for large hail and tornadoes, with a greater than 10% chance of a significant tornado (EF2 or higher) impacting the area.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for our inland SE GA counties ahead of a line of thunderstorms. Storms will arrive later this afternoon, and into the evening across the coastal corridor.
